Ih Juu (Mongolian: , scientific transliteration: ''yeke juu'', SASM/GNC: ''Ih Jûû'', "great deity") or Da Zhao Temple () is a Buddhist monastery in the city of Hohhot in Inner Mongolia in northwest China.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/inner_mongolia/hohhot/dazhao.htm )〕 It is the largest temple in the city and is located in a narrow alley west of Tongdao Nan Jie. Built in 1579 it has a shrine that was dedicated to the Kangxi Emperor in the late 17th century and murals in the hallway that commemorate his visit. An astounding 10 ft silver Sakyamuni Buddha statue is among the temple's many treasures. Da Zhao also exhibits an impressive collection of musical instruments and dragon sculptures relating to Mongol legends. The monastery is a venue for Buddhist festivals held throughout the year. ==References==
